GREENWAY, as the name implies, has been established on the concepts of simplicity, conservationism, creativity and the natural world.  With this in mind, these concepts should be reinforced daily beginning with Circle Time.

 

Circle Time should open each day with The Pledge of Allegiance.  Circle time should orient the children to the day of the week, the month, the season.  The smells, sounds, sights, weather, temperature of the particular day are reviewed and discussed.  These concepts should be reinforced with song and finger play or signing.

Also included in Circle Time are the Alphabet review and counting by 1’s, 2’s 3’s 5’s and 10’s.

Yoga for children at GREENWAY is meant to accomplish two basic goals:

To provide large motor activity and develop memory & control and to teach basic breathing exercises for control and calming.

 

Self-soothing in children goes far beyond crying it out and parent substitutes…providing children with the tools to assess a situation, evaluate responses and cope with change are a life long gift.

 

Yoga should begin with eyes closed and three cleansing breathes followed by about three movements in three repetitions or a game of yogi says no more than once a week or the telling of a story through yoga movements.

Each week will follow a particular theme that is related to the season.  The activities will be based around conservationist ideals, waste not want not, minimizing our carbon foot print; exercising the opportunity to reduce, reuse, recycle.  Materials used with be things that have been reused or recycled and waste will be kept to a minimum.  In most cases a large group project will be used in place of many individual projects.  Natural materials, homemade materials will be used.  Food recipes should be whole foods in as close to their natural state as possible.

 

Each month an established artist will be featured.  The artist’s life, creative process, techniques will be explored.  A children’s art book will be composed and projects will be executed through out the month using different mediums.  Various large group projects will be completed reflecting the featured artists work.  It is important that the child’s work be open to their own emotion and interpretation of the featured artist style.

The purpose is to expose them to various genre’s and techniques and open them up to developing their own sense of style.

 

 

Daily freedom to run, jump and play is critically important.  Children should be free to enjoy the property as well as play organized games.

 

 

FREE WEEK: You are entitled to 1  free week per contract year. That week you are not responsible for child care fees.  You must give a 2 weeks written notice that you will be using your free week.

DISCOUNTS:  A Discount of 20% is offered to the second child when a first child is enrolled full time.

REFERRAL DISCOUNT: 10% Discount is offered for every enrollment referral for as long as referral is enrolled.

FEES:

A REGISTRATION FEE of $25.00 is payable at the time of initial placement. Registration is only valid for a two week period.  If a child is withdrawn and returns at a later date, an additional registration fee will be due at that time.

CHILDCARE FEES are payable on or before Friday of the week prior to service. Fees are due every week in which the child is enrolled in the Center.  The weekly fee applies to weeks with Holidays, Snow Days, Sick Days and/or days you choose not to send your child to the Center.

TUITION FEES:    

18 months- 35 months:

Four or Five full days/30 + hrs/week - $175.00 per week

Three full days/30 - hrs/week- $150.00 per week

Two or Three full days - $50.00 per day (2 day minimum)

Preschool (8.30-11.30 or 12.30-3.30) - $35.00 per day, 2 day $50, 3 day $75, 5 day $125)

36 months - School Aged:                                                       

Four or Five full days/30 + hrs/week - $150.00 per week

Three full days/30 - hrs/week- $125.00 per week

Two or Three full days - $40.00 per day (2 day minimum)

Preschool (8.30-11.30 or 12.30-3.30) - $25.00 per day, 2 day $45, 3 day $65, 5 day $105)

Before/Aftercare Daily, 2  hr/day max- $15/day

A LATE FEE of $25.00 will automatically be charged when a payment is more than 5 BUSINESS DAYS LATE.  Another late fee of $25.00 will be charged if late by 10 business days. If no payment is received by the 15th business day your account will be forwarded to our collection agency.  If the collection agency does not receive prompt payment this contract will be terminated. 

A LATE PICK UP FEE of $10.00 will be automatically charged for the first fifteen minutes of lateness, with an additional $5.00 charged for each 5 minutes thereafter. Payment is due at time of pick up.

RETURNED CHECK FEE of $25 will be charged for any returned checks.

SNOW DAYS : Please see www.wfmz.com for school closing information.  Center may be closed due to a Municipal Snow Emergency being declared in the city of Allentown.

SICK DAYS: In the event of EXTENDED ILLNESS: the full fee is due for the first week of absence, half of the weekly fee is due for 2nd/3rd weeks of absence, after three weeks, absence fees will be waived beginning with the 4th week.  A registration fee will be due upon return. 

Please hand any prescription medications to be given to your child to the teacher in charge, with instructions to place it in the refrigerator or the closet.  The parent should then fill out the necessary information on the medication sheet.  The bottle must show the name of the child, prescription number, doctor and dosage information.

Greenway will not accept for care, not maintained in their care, children who have: Pink Eye, Ringworm, Scabies, Lice , Croup, Diarrhea, Oral Temp of 100.0 or above, Auxiliary temp of 99.0 or above, Rash with temp, Chicken Pox, Upper respiratory infection with rash, Impetigo, Repeated or projectile vomiting, Viral Hepatitis

HOLIDAYS:  The center will be closed for full days on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day and Easter Monday, Memorial Day, Labor Day and Independence Day.  The center will be closed for half days on Christmas Eve, Good Friday, July 3.

SERVICE TERMINATION:  Two weeks written notice is required for TERMINATION OF SERVICE. If two weeks written notice is not given, client will be charged for those two weeks of service. Greenway-Parent Agreement Contract may be terminated at the provider's discretion if it is felt that continued care of a particular child might be detrimental to the child or other program participants.  Greenway has the right to cancel a child's enrollment or any other flagrant violation of the policies of the program.  Behavior will be dealt with on an individual basis at the discretion of the administration.
